Q: What is Next Play Collective?

A nonprofit organization based in Kern County supporting youth in competitive activities like sports, band, cheer, academic teams, and more.

Q: Are you just for athletes?

Nope! Next Play Collective supports all youth in competitive activities - from soccer to robotics to marching band.

Q: Are you a registered nonprofit?

Yes, Next Play Collective is legally incorporated in California and is in the process of securing our 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status.

💰 Donations & Funding
Q: Can I make a donation?

Absolutely! You can currently donate via Venmo.

Q: Are donations tax-deductible?

They will be! All donations will be retroactively tax-deductible once our 501(c)(3) is approved.

Q: Where does my donation go?

Donations support scholarships, uniforms, competition fees, mentorship and operation costs to grow our impact.

Youth in Kern County involved in a competitive activity. Applications open early 2026.

Q: What kinds of costs do you cover?

Things like registration fees, uniforms, travel expenses, equipment and training.

Funding is awarded based on need, availability, and alignment with our mission to promote access and equity. 

Q: Can you sponsor an entire team or program?

Possibly! We welcome inquiries about group sponsorship and collaborations.

Q: Do you host events?

Yes! We're planning our first 5k fundraiser in 2026 and have other events in the works - including clinics, pop-ups, and possibly hosting a low-cost sports league in the future.
