Volunteer FAQs

  • Who can volunteer with Next Play Collective?

Adults (18+) can coach and help on game days, and students ages 13-21 can volunteer through Next Play Rising, with a parent’s permission for anyone under 18.

  • What is the time commitment for volunteers?

It depends on the role. Winter coaches and referees give Saturday mornings from Jan 16 to Mar 13, and coaches also lead a weekly practice [day and time to be confirmed], plus a short onboarding in January. Game-day and event helpers can give a few hours at a time. Skills-based volunteers choose what fits their schedule.

  • Are there any training or background checks required?

Yes. Adults who work with kids complete a background check and SafeSport training. We provide coaching training and a guide. Students under 18 volunteer with a parent’s permission and always work near an NPC adult.

  • How do I sign up to volunteer?

Fill out the form on this page or email info@nextplaycollective.org, and we’ll reach out to match you with a role.
